Meet the people behind Accountably -
a friendly, practical team here to explain things clearly, answer your questions and
support you throughout the year.
Accountably was founded in 2003 to give smaller businesses the level of accountancy support they were not always receiving from larger firms. The aim was simple: to make sure clients had access to experienced advice, clear communication and support from people who treated their affairs as a priority.
Jonathan joined Accountably in 2018, bringing his own practice into the firm soon after. The shared way of working fitted naturally, and Jonathan and Jaine continued as partners until 2024, when Jaine retired and Jonathan became sole director.
Today, Accountably has grown into a wider team with different skills across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, planning and client support. The firm has developed, but the ethos remains the same: approachable, practical accountancy from real people who take the time to understand their clients.

Jonathan Bardolph ACA, FCCA, BFP, BA (Hons)
Director, Accountably
Jonathan leads Accountably with a hands-on, approachable way of working.
Clients often come to Accountably because they want someone who will explain things clearly, answer questions properly and help them feel less anxious about numbers.
Jonathan’s approach is practical and solution-focused: no judgement, no talking down, and no unnecessary jargon. Just clear advice, a familiar team and a relationship that can grow with your business.
Accountably is made up of people with different roles and strengths across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll and client support.
You won’t be passed from department to department.
The team works together, with each person bringing their own skills and style to the client journey.
This means clients are matched with the right support —
whether you need clear guidance, straight answers,
practical bookkeeping help, specialist tax knowledge, or someone who understands the next stage of their business.

Client Manager
Kirsty brings huge experience, patience and attention to detail to her role as Client Manager. She has worked with Accountably for many years and is especially valued for her careful, thoughtful approach. Jonathan describes her as the “red pen lady” — thorough, experienced and often the right person for clients who need a gentler touch.
Client Manager
Greg brings strong technical tax knowledge and a straight-talking approach to client support. He works well with clients who want clear answers and practical guidance, including tax planning and more complex areas such as trust work. He is confident, direct and focused on getting clients the information they need.
Client Manager
Lauren is efficient, quick and practical, with a strong ability to move work forward. She supports clients across areas including CIS and marine accounts, bringing a useful mix of direct communication and care. Clients value her speed, focus and ability to get things done clearly and efficiently.
Client Manager
Clare is Accountably’s Tax Manager and works mainly with personal tax returns, rental properties, sole traders and individual tax matters. Her tax knowledge is excellent, and Jonathan describes her as a very safe pair of hands — someone who can be trusted to get on with the detail calmly and carefully.
Bookkeeping & Payroll
Amanda supports clients with bookkeeping, payroll, CIS, training and the practical systems that keep things moving. She has been part of Accountably for many years and is often described as the glue behind the scenes — helping clients understand bookkeeping systems and supporting the smooth running of the office.
Client Manager, PA and Office Administrator
Alvis has a varied role across client management, office administration and supporting Jonathan with planning and diary organisation. Often the first person clients speak to, he is personable, positive and sensitive to people’s needs. He began with Accountably as an apprentice, and his role grew because he became such a valuable part of the team.
Trainee Accountant
Jess is one of the newest members of the team and is currently working through her AAT exams. She brings positivity, humour and quick thinking to the office, and is already showing strong potential for a career in accountancy. Friendly, bright and fast-learning, she is a valued part of the growing team.
Bookkeeper & Credit Control
Sarah supports Accountably with internal bookkeeping, credit control, ID checks and confirmation statements for limited company clients. She has a long background in bookkeeping, working with small businesses since 1997, and brings steady practical experience to the behind-the-scenes systems that help keep client work organised.
Bookkeeper
Emma works remotely as part of the bookkeeping team, supporting clients with the day-to-day records that sit behind clear accounts. Her work helps clients keep their information organised and gives the wider Accountably team the detail they need to support accounts, tax and planning properly.
Business and Wellbeing Support
Kay supports Accountably behind the scenes with business strategy, website development and staff wellbeing. With a background in stress management and years of experience working with small businesses and self-employed people, she brings a useful understanding of the pressures business owners face.
